Lucerne for Jesus

Outreach Dates: 3rd – 19th of July

Lucerne – The City of Lights on Lake Lucerne Lucerne, the vibrant heart of Central Switzerland, is far more than just a picturesque backdrop of mountains and lakes. Renowned for its historic Chapel Bridge and the majestic scenery of the Alps, Lucerne is a place where history and beauty meet. We believe that Lucerne’s spiritual destiny is to be a beacon of hope—a city whose radiance reaches far beyond the borders of Switzerland, reflecting God’s glory like the sun upon the peaks of Mount Pilatus. Amidst the crowds of tourists from all over the world, the dedicated students of the University of Lucerne, and the local families, we sense a deep thirst for authentic encounter and truth. Behind the polished facade of prosperity, people long for a meaning that goes deeper than tradition. Whether in the bustling alleys of the Old Town or in the modern districts—the diversity of cultures and generations in Lucerne is ready for a renewal through the love of Jesus, which breaks down walls and heals hearts. Let us unite to illuminate this city with the Gospel, the greatest message of our Lord Jesus Christ. We look forward to seeing how God will use us together and how many souls will be saved. Hallelujah, we look forward to having you with us! For the King, for Lucerne.

Join the WhatsApp Channel for the latest updates.

Each day we are going on the streets for a couple of hours to share the Gospel and see many life-changing encounters, pray for healing and love on people. We have breaks where you can grab lunch and dinner and regular times to gather for worship, prayer and to hear the amazing testimonies of what God is doing on the streets.

We will send you more specific information on the city through the WhatsApp Channel. You can join for any of the days. Simply let us know what weeks/days you can commit to once we start the registration for the city.

All participants are responsible to cover all of their own costs (flights, accommodation, transportation, food etc.) We believe this will be a great investment into the Gospel being spread all over Europe.

The best airport to fly into is Zurich Airport (ZRH), which is also the closest and usually the most convenient option.

By train, it takes about 1 hour to reach Lucerne, with direct connections running frequently. Look for trains departing from “Zürich Flughafen” (the station located inside the airport) to “Luzern Bahnhof,” the city’s main station right by the lake.

By car, the journey takes around 45–60 minutes depending on traffic.

Trains in Switzerland are extremely reliable and often the easiest and fastest way to travel, so this is generally the best option.

Once you’re in Lucerne, the best way to get around is by bus and on foot.

The local bus network is efficient, clean, and covers the entire city and surrounding areas. Tickets are zone-based and can be purchased at ticket machines at stops, via the SBB Mobile app, or online at SBB (sbb.ch).

A day pass typically costs around CHF 8–10 depending on zones, and it allows unlimited travel on buses within the selected zones.

If you’re staying longer, consider multi-day passes or the Swiss Travel Pass for unlimited travel across the country.

Buses run frequently, and connections are well coordinated.

Lucerne’s city center is very walkable, especially around the Old Town and lake promenade. You can easily explore most attractions on foot.

There are also e-bikes and e-scooters available from providers like Tier Mobility. Taxis are available, but there is no widespread Uber service, so public transport or walking are usually the best options.
