Gör oss sällskap i
Groningen.
Outreach Datum: 13th – 26th of July
Come Up North! Because there is nothing above Groningen Groningen: a student city, lively, creative, vibrant and down-to-earth. It is a city known for it’s rich historical background, it’s many cyclists and it’s nightlife. Today, Groningen is still culturally shaped by Christianity. You can sense this in it’s language, village life, buildings, and traditions. But in practical terms, active religious life has become much smaller than it was a century ago. So it is time to rebuild the ruins of Groningen and awaken the church! ‘Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.’ Isaiah 58:12 (NLT) People in Groningen are in need of Jesus! With roughly 50,000 students and 245,000 inhabitants, this city is ready for the harvest! We see that a move of God has already begun and the lives of many young people are being radically changed by the gospel. But this is only the beginning. We are expectant about what God wants to do in this city. Will you come and join us as we go out and see people saved, healed and delivered? We want to see a great move of God in Groningen that will spread throughout the Netherlands. And God wants to use you! No matter your background and no matter how many times you’ve done street evangelism, we encourage you to come to the north of the Netherlands to join us. We need you! Let your testimony echo through the streets of Groningen, pointing people to the victory of Jesus Christ!

The best airport to reach Groningen is Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS). From Schiphol, you can take a direct train to Groningen railway station, which takes approximately 2–2.5 hours. Look for trains heading to “Groningen” or with a transfer at Zwolle railway station. This is usually the fastest and most convenient option. By car, the journey takes around 2 hours, depending on traffic. A smaller regional option is Groningen Airport Eelde (GRQ), located about 20 minutes by car from the city, though it has fewer international connections.
