Barcelona för Jesus

Outreach Datum: 12th – 25th of July

Barcelona, located in Catalonia, is a city that inspires the world. People from every nation walk its streets each day, drawn by its art, culture, and the architecture of Antoni Gaudí, seen in iconic landmarks like the Sagrada Familia. Yet we believe Barcelona is more than a cultural destination — it is a meeting place of nations. Languages, cultures, and peoples from around the world gather here, and we believe God desires that every person can encounter the hope and transforming love found in Jesus.
We believe this is a special moment for Barcelona. God is awakening spiritual hunger in many hearts, especially in a new generation searching for purpose, truth, and living faith. What we see in this city is more than diversity — it is an extraordinary opportunity: the nations gathered in one place. Barcelona is a gateway for Europe, a city from which the love of God reaches people from all over the world who walk its streets every day. This is a call to the Church. Let us unite — in Barcelona, across Catalonia, throughout Spain, and from the nations — to fill this city with the love of Jesus. Let us go into the streets, share the Gospel, pray for people, and demonstrate the Kingdom of Heaven with love, faith, and power.
We believe for salvation, healing, restoration, and hope for many. This is the time to walk together, to see the Church rise as one family, and to be part of what God is doing in Barcelona to bless all of Europe.

Let us unite. The nations are here. It is time to share the Good News. 🔥

The best airport to fly into is Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN). It is the main international airport serving the city and is located about 15–20 minutes by car from the city center. By train or metro it usually takes around 30–40 minutes to reach central Barcelona. If you arrive by train, the main stations to look for are Barcelona Sants (the city’s main train station) and Passeig de Gràcia, both well connected to public transportation. To travel to and from the airport you can use the Renfe train, metro, or bus. If you have the monthly unlimited travel pass (T-usual), you normally do not need to buy a special airport ticket, since you can use it on trains, metro, and buses within Zone 1.

The best way to get around Barcelona is by metro, bus, and tram. The public transportation system is fast, reliable, and covers most areas of the city. Tickets can be purchased at machines in metro stations, at kiosks, or through transportation apps. A very good option is the T-usual monthly pass, which visitors can obtain using their passport number, even if they are not residents. This pass allows unlimited travel for 30 days on metro, buses, trams, and trains within the selected zone, so you don’t need to worry about buying tickets every time you travel.

Approximate prices for Zone 1 (where most places in Barcelona are located):

  • Single ticket: €2.90

  • T-casual (10 trips): €13.00

  • T-dia (unlimited travel for 1 day): €12.00

  • T-usual (monthly unlimited pass): €22.80

Barcelona is also a very walkable city, especially in the city center areas such as the Gothic Quarter, El Born, and Eixample. There are also bike rentals and electric scooters available throughout the city. For car rides, you can use Cabify, Uber, or registered taxis, which are easy to find on the street or at taxi stands.
