Мангейм

Mannheim, a key city in southwestern Germany, is in need of a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It longs to step into its God-given destiny as a city that calls the lost home, raises up healthy Christians from all cultural backgrounds, and unifies the churches for one purpose-to love Jesus and make Him known!

With a population of around 310,000, it has become a home to people from different backgrounds and nations. Its universities attract students from across Germany and other parts of the world. Mannheim is known to be an international city; you can find various communities here. There is even a part of the city called “Little Istanbul,” which makes you feel as if you were in the Middle East.

Many people come to Mannheim to try to find their purpose in life. Some are able to find fulfillment, but many suffer with depression and loss of identity as they have a void in their heart which they do not know how to fill.

Mannheim longs for a transformation that is only possible when the Gospel is preached and received. These diverse people groups are in need of a Savior.  They desire to encounter the real love of God. It is time to step out boldly and call Mannheim back to its planned destiny as a key city in Germany. Let’s join together and flood the streets with the Good News and watch God’s light transform lives and shift statistics in this city!

Best airport to fly into is Frankfurt Airport (FRA)

  • Скорее всего, это будет и самый дешевый вариант.
  • It is about 45 minutes to Mannheim by car, 30 minutes to Mannheim with the ICE train (fast train), 1 hour to Mannheim with the regular train
  • The best train station if you fly into/out of Frankfurt is “Frankfurt (M) Flughafen” (located inside the airport).

The best train station in Mannheim is “Mannheim Hbf” (this is the main city train station, located in the heart of the city)

The best transportation options within the city is with the tram and bus. Most people take the tram and bus here, its the cheapest and easiest way to get around the whole city. If you purchase a Mannheim daily/weekly ticket, you can ride both the trams and buses! You can either purchase tickets at a kiosk near the trams/trains/bus stops, the app called “DB Navigator” or this website https://www.vrn.de/. Сайт будет самым простым выбором.

These are the prices as of right now, but they can change at anytime: (Check the website for updated info)

  • The day ticket costs: 8,30 euros

  • The weekly ticket costs: 33,20 euros

  • The monthly ticket costs: 50 euros
(This s a great option because you can use it all around germany, its not just limited to the city of Mannhiem but this is only for the regular trains and trams) (If you book this option, then make sure you book for the month you want it and then cancel it right away so it doesn’t automatically charge you the next month. You will be still be able to use it for the month you purchased for!)

В главном центре города ты также можешь передвигаться пешком повсюду!

There are rentable e-bikes and scooters as well like “Уровень” and “Болт“.

There is NO Uber but taxis.

Размещение

We will most likely start the outreach at the Wasserturm and move on to the Paradeplatz and Markplatz. There are many hotels all around the city and it is really easy/quick to get around with the tram and also just walking too!

I would look into checking to see how far your accommodation is from the Wasserturm.
