Cluj-Napoca is a vibrant connecting city in the heart of Transylvania – a place where the modern West meets Eastern Europe, where numerous churches mark the city’s landscape, universities fill the streets with life, and startups and technology hubs bring a strong spirit of innovation. With a population of around 300,000 people, Cluj attracts students from all across Romania and from around the world – from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and India – people seeking opportunities and a better future for themselves and their families. It is a city full of energy, dynamism, and divine potential. Cluj is a place where the nations meet. In the midst of disillusionment, a growing hunger is being born for something real and authentic. Cluj longs for more – for truth, for meaning, and for a life that brings real fulfillment. The answer for every searching heart is Jesus. The crosses and church buildings testify to a rich Christian heritage, yet the heart of God calls for something more: a people set apart for His purposes – a church defined not by walls, but by the living presence of God working in and through His people.
From this city, the Gospel will go to the nations. Through the many internationals who live here, those who encounter Christ will carry His truth back to their families, their hometowns, and their nations. What God does in Cluj spreads outward, fulfilling His heart’s desire to seek and save the lost and transforming lives far beyond the borders of this city.
The vision is clear: Cluj will not simply be a city of church buildings. It will be a city where people encounter Jesus and come to know Him personally – where hearts are transformed, communities are renewed, and nations encounter the love and truth of Christ.

Все участники сами оплачивают все свои расходы (перелеты, проживание, транспорт, питание и т. д.) Мы считаем, что это будет отличным вложением в распространение Евангелия по всей Европе.

The best (and only) airport to fly into is Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport (IATA: CLJ, ICAO: LRCL)
You have 2 main transport options to get into the city centre once you arrive – public buses or a taxi/bolt/uber service.
Buses
– You have 3 bus options to arrive in the city centre
– Line A1E is the express bus that goes directly from the terminal to Piata Mihai Vitezul (one of the main squares in our city). This trip will cost approximately ~1.5 € or 7RON.
– Line 5 and 8 are ‘regular’ buses that run from the bus stop directly outside of the airport (on the main road). These will stop at every station until you arrive in the city centre. You do not need to press a button to get off, the bus stops at every station on its journey. This tip will cost approximately 0.7€ or 3.5RON.
– You do not need to pre-book these, you can pay onboard with contactless pay ticket machines, or pay cash outside the bus at other ticket machines.
– Please note that there are fewer services at night time (after 9PM) and early (before 7am) in the morning.
Taxi/Bolt/Uber
– Taxis, Uber and Bolt are widely available at the arrivals terminal at the airport.
– The typical fair to arrive in the city centre will be between 6-10€ (30-50RON) in normal hours, higher when there is increased traffic
– Most locals use Bolt due to being able to pre-price their fare, and with easy access to GPS tracking.
Day-to-Day Movement
– Cluj-Napoca is not a big city, with a good network of public transport options. There are no different transport zones, simply paying for each usage (you can pay for subscriptions, but these are not generally much more affordable options unless you are staying for an extended period of time eg. A month)
– Cluj-Napoca’s city center is highly walkable: most landmarks (Piața Unirii, parks, museums) are within comfortable walking distance.
– Although the city centre is highly walkable, and access to grocery stores and pharmacies are easily accessible in every area of the city, please note that there are areas that are advertised and are cheaper to stay in, that have fewer travel options (or much longer travel time). Be aware that the areas: Feleacu, Floresti, Baciu, Faget can extended your public transport travel time significantly or costs of taxi services.
– Another great option for individuals are the electric scooters available through Lime and Bolt apps. You can pay per minute of riding (1.1RON per minute + 1.5RON Unlocking Fee – 0.22€ per minute + 0.29€ Unlocking Fee), or you can buy short term subscriptions for repeated use (eg. 200 minutes of riding for 30 days = 75RON /
14.75€)
