Mannheim għal Ġesù

Outreach Dati: 18th – 31th of July

Mannheim, a wonderful key city in southwestern Germany, needs a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It longs to step into its God-given calling: to bring the lost back home, to raise up healthy Christians from every cultural background, and to see the churches united with one purpose – to love Jesus and make Him known.

With a population of around 315,000, Mannheim is an important cultural, economic, and educational hub. As an international city, it has become a home for people of different origins and nations. Its universities attract students from across Germany and around the world, making campus ministry particularly fruitful.

Mannheim is marked by diversity — including a large Muslim community and even a part of the city called “Little Istanbul.” This diversity opens doors to carry the Gospel with love and power into every culture. As you walk through the streets of Mannheim, you can sense it: It is a city that is in need of truth and hope. It is in need of its creator, to experience His healing and restoration.

Mannheim needs transformation — a transformation that is only possible when the Gospel is preached and received. Now is the time to rise up with boldness and call Mannheim back to its intended destiny as a demonstration of God’s love in Germany. You will find a fertile ground to sow seeds and make a lasting impact.

Let’s flood the streets together with the Good News and witness how God’s light transforms lives and reshapes the story of this city! This is an invitation to unite with the churches of Mannheim and rise up as one body of Christ, calling God’s beloved children back home.

Il-parteċipanti kollha huma responsabbli li jkopru l-ispejjeż kollha tagħhom stess (titjiriet, akkomodazzjoni, trasport, ikel eċċ.) Nemmnu li dan se jkun investiment kbir biex l-Evanġelju jinfirex madwar l-Ewropa kollha.

The best airport to fly into is Frankfurt Airport (FRA),
This will most likely be the cheapest option.

By car it takes about 50 minutes to Mannheim, by ICE (high-speed train) 35 minutes, and by regular train around 1 hour and 20 minutes.

The best train station if you are flying into Frankfurt is “Frankfurt (M) Flughafen” (located inside the airport).

The main train station in Mannheim is “Mannheim Hbf” (the central station in the heart of the city).

The best transportation options within the city is with the tram and bus. Most people take the tram and bus here, its the cheapest and easiest way to get around the whole city. If you purchase a Mannheim daily/weekly ticket, you can ride both the trams and buses! You can either purchase tickets at a kiosk near the trams/trains/bus stops, the app called “DB Navigator” or this website https://www.vrn.de/. The website is the official choice, but the app “DB Navigator” would be the easiest and which will allow you to easily navigate around the city and Germany.

Here are the current prices (subject to change; check the website for up-to-date information):

– Day ticket costs: 8,90 euros (city zones: Stadttarif Mannheim/Ludwigshafen/Heidelberg)

– Weekly ticket costs: 16,00 euros

– Monthly ticket costs: around 63 euros

(This is a great option because you can use it all across Germany — it’s not just limited to Mannheim and it is also valid for regular trains and trams. If you book this option, make sure to book for the correct month you want and then cancel the subscription right away to avoid being automatically charged for the next month. You will still be able to use the ticket for the month you purchased it for. )

There are also rentable e-bikes and scooters such as “Dott”, “Voi” and “Bolt”.
