So the question is, why Jesus? Look at the brokenness of this world. People have tried to live apart from God for thousands of years, and all it has brought is pain, brokenness, hopelessness, war, sickness, and hatred.

There is nothing good in humanity apart from a perfect and loving God. If you look closer, even at your own life, you’ll find areas of brokenness and emptiness as well.

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” — this is what the Bible says in Romans 3:23. This means we believe that God is holy and pure. We believe that only He is good. Because we have sinned against God, we need forgiveness—and that forgiveness is found in Him.

Maybe you’re living a lifestyle of partying. You get drunk every weekend, chasing the next high, but when you wake up on Sunday morning and the party is over and no friends are around, all you feel is emptiness. Maybe you’re chasing money or a career, but you’re starting to realize that not even all the money in the world can fill the void inside your soul.

We believe that every single person has a longing. We try different things to fill it, but God made us to be with Him. That’s why we are always searching for something. We believe this longing will only be truly satisfied when we come to know Him. There is a hole in our hearts that only God can fill. He is the missing piece.

This is why Jesus came. Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly.” All of us have made mistakes. The Bible calls that sin. Sin is what separates us from a holy, loving, and perfect Father who is God. We are separated from God because of our own decisions, and we’re all in the same boat with this. Every single one of us has sinned.
They Bible says in 1. John 1:8-9 that
If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves.
Every single one of us has lied. We are guilty before God.
We need forgiveness for our sins.

What he also says in that verse is:
“He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

But God sent Jesus Christ to live on this earth. He lived a perfect life that you and I could never have lived. And because He was so perfect, He was able to die on the cross for your sin and for my sin—for all of the separation that we have caused in our relationship with God. He was buried, and He rose again from the dead because the grave could not hold a man of perfection like Him.

He who knew no sin became sin for us. Jesus is the only one who has no sin.

We believe and know that no one is perfect except Jesus. That’s why Jesus died in our place, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

But now the question is: what will you do with Jesus? Will He just be a historical figure to you, or will you actually receive Him as who He claimed to be—the Son of God and your personal Lord and Savior? The Bible says in Romans 10:9: “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
